AzeusCare is proud to have sponsored the Health & Social Care – Safeguarding Children: Effective Collaboration for Child Protection and Wellbeing which was held at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester on 11 May 2017. The forum discussed the findings and recommendations of the Wood Report: Review of the role and functions of Local Safeguarding Children Boards, 2016.
Safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children requires a concerted collaborative effort from local authorities, police, health services and other agencies. LSCB and MASH are a step forward in this direction. The sharing of ideas and pooling of lessons learned from various authorities is needed to constantly improve the programmes.
However, it is also important to consider the local context as there is no one size fits all to implementing programmes. Instead, there is a need for constant introspection and evaluation on the effectiveness of such programmes using an evidenced based and systems thinking approach.
Azeus UK is working with partner local authorities and communities to provide a flexible system for sharing of information using role based access controls with workflow driven processes and performance based reporting to enable safeguarding teams to work together collaboratively in an efficient and secure manner.
